MEWA Film Alpha has made video editing simple. This application allows you to perform from simple video edition up to apply 3D effects and more advanced effects. Although it is now in an Alpha stage, it does not seem much an alpha. It is multiplatform (Windows, Linux) and is free for personal use. If you're editing video, you should keep a careful sight in MEWA Film.
